Content |
Her diary opens with three texts in a literary style; the last being her description of a walk in the countryside. The diary was written daily and documents her social life; as well as her feelings about the people she met. She also notes down the books she read and what she thought of them. She writes with interest of the men around her. In particular, a young man for whom she feels a strong attachment but who she considers too young for her. Because of illness she stopped writing between 1804 and 1806. When the diary resumes she speaks mainly of her poor health and the severe pains she now suffers. |
