They have two children; Paul-Daniel Gonzalve (1812) and Louis Ferdinand-Léonce (1817). Paul Daniel Gonzalve became Mayor of St-Légier-La Chiésaz in 1842 and Deputy to the Grand Council Vaudois the following year. | |

She began the diary when her son was five weeks old and noted his progress (first smile, first teeth, first steps etc.) The diary ends abruptly when the child is in his fourth year; having, for a time, focused almost exclusively on the details of diseases, treatments and their effects. |
