Content | Amélie started writing the day before her thirteenth birthday and made notes on a daily basis between 17th May and 1st December 1799. She records her daily activities: lessons, visits, parties and special occasions. She also writes about the books she was reading. She suffered from poor health and spent some months in M. Jaccard's boarding house; successor to the famous orthopedist, Jean-André Venel. She lived in Paris between December 1799 and June 1800. She wrote less often during this period. |
