Content | The author begins his autobiography with his birth, but doesn't write about his childhood. He continues with his entry into the French military service in 1756. The years 1756 to 1762 are described in great detail and are mainly concerned with the author's military activities. From 1762 onwards, the notes are extremely succinct and written in a different ink. There is an obvious break in the writing process, which is probably related to different times of writing. |
