Biographical information | Son of Hans Heinrich (a military surgeon) and Anna Rublin. In 1730 he married Regula Zimmerman, daughter of the pastor, Hans Konrad Zimmerman. After her death he married Regula Schaufelberger. In 1731 he became a Professor of Natural Law and Divinity. Later, in 1746, he was elected a Member of the Academy of Science in Berlin. He was considered heterodox by his peers. | |
